Heedy is a social and monitoring platform built to bridge the gap between generations, helping families stay continuously connected with elderly relatives through simple, reliable technology.
In a deep collaboration with entrepreneurs in Sweden, we developed Heedy into a production-ready system that was also pitched to local municipalities as a digital health and inclusion solution. The core vision is to reduce digital exclusion, isolation, and loneliness by making communication effortless across all ages—and by giving older or obsolete devices a second life within a meaningful use case.
The system runs across both iOS and Android, with a dual-experience design: a passive, always-on “elderly view” on tablets that requires no interaction, and an active family-side app for video calls, messaging, and shared updates. This structure enables continuous presence without demanding technical literacy from elderly users.
The product has been tested in the real world, with early users across mobile platforms and feedback from families validating its direction as a critical tool for care, connection, and aging-in-place support.
